Hey Mom!!
How are you?? I'm doing great as
usual, I don't think that my same response to that same question can get
too old, because I'm sure it makes you feel better when I say I'm doing
good!! This week has been pretty good! Elder Chavez and I are getting
along pretty well! Things are going good! We have been doing a lot of
walking and a lot of contacting people! It gets tiring at times, but its
all worth it being able to be recognized as a representative of Jesus
Christ.
It may seem like it doesn't get too cold here, but it
really does!! The word Pachuca means "La bella airosa" which means the
beautiful airy city, I don't know if that makes much sense, but it gets
really windy here!! The Cold gets even colder! But I am sure that its
getting pretty cold in Utah. The worst part of the cold here is that it
gets even colder at night. The houses here are made of cement and don't
have insulation, neither do they have indoor heating. So we have to
sleep in thermals and a sweater to stay warm, plus this week we had to
put a blanket in the door to keep the air from getting in! haha, but
things are going pretty well! Elder Chavez is from Veracruz, and it used
to warm weather all year round, so he is suffering a little more than I
am! Hes been in the mission for about 5 months, so he still hasn't
gotten too used to the cold.
This week I have been reading the
Isaiah chapters from 2 Nephi. Its been hard, but I love what I have
been able to learn. The Lord has always made covenants with his people,
such as the people of Israel, in order to bless them. But, when his
children don't obey, he gets sad, and cant do anything else to help us
because he has given us agency. Its really easy, If we obey, HE WILL
BLESS US, and if we don't obey he cant bless us. For that reason, Isaiah
writes about these promises that the Lord made with Israel, Isaiah also
explains why it is so important that Jesus came to suffer for our sins.
Isaiah also testifies that Christ will come again to bless the
righteous. Therefore, the most important thing that I have learned from
Isaiah is that we should obey and repent, and have hope through the
Atonement of Christ.
I hope that in this week everything goes
great!! Keep sending pictures of the kids so i can see how they are
doing!! I love you tons Mom!! I know you know it!! Remember the
Covenants and Promises that the Lord has made for and to you!! Love ya!!

Hey Mom!!
Hey Mom!!
This week has been good! Im already with my new
Companion!! The first presidency and the 12 apostles sent out an
announcement that we can no longer have our "tranfers meetings" they
sent it to the whole world. So today I took Elder Rangel to the bus
station and dropped him off there. There we saw all the missionaries
that had transfers. A few missionaries had to travel alone, before
everyone traveled to the transfers meeting with their companions. But
this time it was a little different. At the bus station I picked up my
new companion Elder Chavez, and Elder Galo who is going to finish his
mission tomorrow.
This
past week President Egbert set a mission goal of finishing the Book of
Mormon before general conference. So I have been reading, right now im
in 2 Nefi chapter 5. I really Love Nephis obedience throughout the whole
book. I dont know how many times he repeated what the Lord had said to
him, that if he kept the commandments that they would prosper. And its
true!! The Lord will always lead us to a promised land, a better place,
only if we keep the commandments! He told Nephi that he would be
blessed, he never said that it was going to be easy what he had to do!!
it applies to us al well! I love the Book of Mormon!
Salutations to the family!! I hope they are all doing well!! Keep on keeping the commandments!! Love you tons!!

Hey Mom!!
Hey Mom!!
First of all, when the Temple gets dedicated, can you save
me one of those little slips/recommends that they give, so that i can
have a little memory!! Thanks!!
Sounds like you had a great
week! Lots of fun things happening! Here things are going well!! We have
been working hard to find new people to teach, but not having a lot of
success, this week we had a new investigator at church, his name is
Ramon. He is an older fellow, but he is super great and such a good guy.
He has a bad knee, and a few months ago got hit by a taxi leaving his
house, so he struggles a lot with walking. A member helped us get him to
church, with his wheel chair and it all went really swell. He was
baptized in the Pentecostes church (I don't know what its called in English) and that is why he hasn't committed to being baptized, but we are
working with him!
I hope that this new year I can strive to
work harder everyday and keep doing exactly what the Lord asks me! I
hope that you too Mom can look for what you need to do this year to come
closer to him!! I love you tons Mom!! I don't have much time left, but I
want you to know how much I love you and appreciate your example!!! I'm
so proud of you!!
Always Love you!!

Hey Mom!
Hey Mom!
I got on today and didn't find very many emails until now,
now that we don't have much time to write. This week has been great!
Still a little hard to find people at home, with all their Christmas
break celebrations, but its starting to get back to normal. This week we
found a few new people that were interested in knowing the truth of our
message, so we invited a few to church, but it has always been hard
getting them there. All of them cancelled on us, but we are gonna keep
visiting to see what we can do to help them. I love that talk by Ezra
Taft Benson, I know that I shared it once with you before. This week we
stayed in gospel principles again, so we got to learn a little bit more
about the book of Mormon as well. I really like 2 Nephi chapter 25 that
talks a lot about the importance of the Book of Mormon. It really is the
Keystone of our religion and as it says in 2 Nephi 3:14-15 that the
Book of Mormon is essential for our Salvation. Well It just started
raining outside, and we have to go now! Wish us luck!! Love you tons!
Have a great week!!
